Omnivex SQLLink 4 enables you to acquire data directly from one or more database files and make it available to Omnivex DataPipe 3 for other Omnivex applications. This data can then be linked to any appropriate Omnivex content management application to be displayed or used to trigger content.

Omnivex SQLLink 4 allows you to use standard SQL statements to filter or qualify data requests for specific data fields. You can select specific rows and columns of data from your SQL query and add qualifiers to limit the number of items or filter out duplicate records. With DataPipe and other Omnivex data linking products, you can build dynamic queries that are triggered by data updates
anywhere in your network.

SQL Link is most often used for displaying:
  • Production figures
  • Quality results - accident free days, benchmarks set
  • Sales figures

Automatic updates
Automatic updates make sure that changes to your database data are instantly recognized and new data is passed to your DataPipe Server for display on your digital signage,
without human intervention. This reduces labor costs and ensures accuracy by eliminating keying errors.

Filtering
Create filters that are as simple or as complex as you want, using standard SQL statements, or qualify your data requests by specifying data fields.
Dynamic Queries
Create dynamic queries that change based on the value in a DataPipe cell. By substituting
DataPipe cell values directly into your SQL statements, your query changes based on data updates from anywhere in your DataPipe
network.

Typically, SQLLink 4 is used for displaying information such as production or sales figures, call center statistics or flight information.

For example, in a retail environment, data such as inventory levels and sales figures can be used to trigger changes to advertising content on your screens and promote selected items.

At a conference, if RFID tags are placed in attendee's badges, SQLLink 4 can automatically query your database and trigger content to be displayed based on the tag detected by an RFID reader. In an airport environment, you could use dynamic queries to trigger multi-lingual wayfinding based on flight origin data.

In a manufacturing environment, you could display current inventory statistics or key process indicators on your production floor and for management personnel, to ensure the smooth flow of production.

Your data may be used as content, a trigger to select appropriate content or cause events to happen, when you use Omnivex SQLLink 4, DataPipe 3 and Display 3 products together.
